FAQS

How can I commission an instrument?
The best way is to call or email and express what you are looking for in an instrument. Sample contract and references will be provided to find instruments nearby that you can try.

Are instruments available now?
Representative instruments are often available and can be shipped upon request. Call or email for details.

Should conservatory students on limited budgets try out an instrument?
It's always informative to try various approaches to instrument sound, and full-time students qualify for special payment consideration.

Other Items of Interest
Geoffrey Ovington periodically donates instruments to string programs. An interesting example is the quartet of half-size instruments given to the North Bennington String Program. The Project was begun in 1993 and completed in 1996 with the donation of a half-size 'cello. In 2002, the Texaco Sphinx Competition will receive a Geoffrey Ovington violin as a donation.
